Important to know
Your “current address” options in ClearScore come from your Equifax credit report, not from a separate ClearScore address list.
If your current address is wrong or missing, it usually means:
your lender(s) haven’t yet updated it, or
Equifax hasn’t linked the address to your credit file yet.
What to do
1. Update your address with your lender(s)
This is the most important step. Make sure your:
bank(s)
credit card providers
loan, BNPL, or finance providers
all have your correct current address.
2. Check your council / electoral roll (optional but helpful)
If you’re registered to vote, confirm your address is correct with your local council. Electoral roll data can help Equifax link address history correctly.
3. Wait for your credit report to refresh
After updates are made, it can take up to 5–6 weeks for your Equifax credit report to reflect the change.
Once updated, the correct address should appear in ClearScore automatically.
If the address is still wrong after 5–6 weeks
You should raise a dispute with Equifax, as ClearScore can’t correct credit report data ourselves.
