Regularly checking your credit report will give you a better chance of identifying anything unusual or suspicious. Suspicious activity may indicate your identity has been stolen, and that someone may be using your identity to apply for credit.
We have a service called ClearScore Alerts which will notify you of information that is changing on your report, within 24 hours of Equifax being notified.
These alerts will feature a brief overview of the information that is changing, while your full credit report and score will carry on being updated every month.
You’ll be able to view the details of the updates once you have logged in to your ClearScore account. These changes can be found in the ‘Overview’ section of your credit report, under the ‘Today’ tab.
On our app you will be able to locate ClearScore Alerts and upcoming changes by selecting 'Report', then selecting your 'Next Report' tab.
If you think that your personal information is at risk of fraudulent activity, you should contact Cifas - the UK's fraud prevention service – to place a 'Protective Registration' warning on your credit file. This can be done for a fee of £30.
