Downloading the machine-readable data file
To understand what information you filled out in your ClearScore account, you can download a copy from My Account in the ClearScore app. This export only includes the data you provided when last updating your account, and doesn’t include information from other sources (for example, it doesn’t include your Equifax credit report).
This functionality was built to help transfer your ClearScore data to other apps, so the exported data is saved in a JSON file. This is a machine-friendly format, but it can also be opened in any text editor like Note Pad, WordPad or TextEdit.
Statutory credit report
If you’re looking to obtain a copy of your credit report, you can request a statutory report from Equifax here. You’ll be able to either access it online or request a paper copy to be sent to your address.
Making a Subject Access Request
In accordance with the GDPR legislation, you have the right to request the data ClearScore holds about you. You can make this request through the ClearScore Assistant chat in the lower right corner of the Help Centre or by emailing us at privacy@clearscore.com. We’ll then need to verify your identity before we process your request. We have 30 days to share the file with you, once we’ve confirmed your identity.
Please note that if your request is complex, it might take us a bit longer - we’ll let you know if that’s the case.
