Who is our AI provider for Caisey?
We use a third-party provider, ChatGPT (owned by Open AI) to help us provide credit report summaries and the Caisey chat. Caisey is produced and managed by ClearScore, but the underlying service is provided by ChatGPT. More information can be found in our privacy policy.
Can ChatGPT/Open AI see my ClearScore data?
Yes, Open AI accesses and processes ClearScore user data on our instructions. It does this in order to for us to provide the Summary and Chat feature. As part of the Data Processing Agreement we have with them, Open AI cannot store this data or train their models using ClearScore users’ data.
The ClearScore contract is held with the Irish arm of Open AI. This means that OpenAI are bound by EU Law including the GDPR. By processing data belonging to UK citizens, they are also bound by the UK GDPR, and the protections it provides for users’ personal data.
Is my data being used to train ChatGPT/Open AI models?
No, ChatGPT/Open AI doesn’t use ClearScore users' data to train their models. They also don’t store any ClearScore user data.
How do I opt-out of using Caisey?
You can manage AI-powered features, including Caisey, from the ClearScore app.
To turn these features off:
- Login to your ClearScore account
- Go to My Account > Settings > Privacy & Security > AI Features
- Turn off the AI Features toggle
When this setting is turned off, AI-powered features such as Caisey chat and credit report summaries will no longer be available in the app.
Does this affect my credit report/score?
The information you see in the Caisey AI summaries and Caisey Chat is there to help you analyse and understand your credit report and credit health. It doesn't affect your score or report information.

Caisey AI is in beta and may occasionally generate misleading or incorrect information. We're working to improve the quality and accuracy of the summary returned.
If any of the summary information looks wrong, please check your credit report as this is the source of the summary insights. If you believe the credit report information is wrong please see our help article for what to do next.
