If Equifax can’t change something on your report but you want to explain it, you can add a Notice of Correction.
This is a short note (up to 200 words) that gives context (for example, explaining a missed payment due to illness).
Your note must be factual, suitable for publication, and not harmful to anyone’s reputation. To add or remove a notice:
1. Make sure your email address is verified in My Account.
2. Submit your request via the Equifax dispute form.
