2FA adds an extra layer of security to your account. You can turn it on or off, and choose SMS or an authenticator app.
Turn 2FA on or off
1. Go to My Account → Account & Security.
2. Open Two-factor authentication (2FA).
3. Select Enable or Disable, then follow the on-screen prompts.
Choose your 2FA method
• SMS codes – sent to your mobile number.
• Authenticator app (TOTP) – use any standard app (e.g. Google Authenticator, Authy, Microsoft Authenticator) on iOS or Android.You can only use one method at a time. To switch methods, disable your current method first, then enable 2FA again with your preferred option.
Tips
• If you use an authenticator app, have it ready on your phone before you start.
• Keep your phone number and device access up to date so you don’t get locked out.
