Linking your bank accounts to ClearScore helps you go beyond your credit report and score. The accounts you’ve linked through Open Banking are used to show you the How You Look to Lenders report and are separate to the information you see on your credit report.
Most often you’ll see the same accounts on both your credit report and the HYLTL report. Here are some common reasons why you might not see a bank account you connected with Open Banking on your credit report:
• Not all banks, lenders and providers share information with all 3 Credit Reference Agencies - Equifax, Experian and TransUnion. We get credit report data from Equifax, and your bank or credit card provider might not share data with them.
• Credit reports only show credit accounts, so savings accounts you’ve linked won’t appear on the credit report.
• Current accounts will usually only show on a credit report if they have an overdraft facility. If your linked current account doesn’t have an overdraft, this may be why it isn’t also on the credit report.
