If you’ve moved abroad, you’ll still be able to see your Equifax credit report through ClearScore. But any overseas accounts or borrowing you open won’t appear - UK credit reference agencies can only show information shared by UK-based lenders, even if they’re big international names like HSBC or Barclays.
If you’ve kept any UK accounts open, such as a credit card, loan, or mobile contract, those will keep updating as normal for as long as the lender continues sharing data with the UK credit agencies.
It’s worth checking your UK report every now and then, even if you’re living overseas. It helps you make sure everything’s still right and spot any signs of fraud or activity you don’t recognise.
Your UK credit history doesn’t travel with you, though. Every country has its own credit system, so if you’re settling somewhere new, you’ll need to build your credit history from scratch there - just like you once did in the UK.
