ClearScore Protect is a free dark web monitoring service we provide to all of our users, for free, to help them protect their identity.
Every three months, we’ll privately and securely run a scan of the dark web, monitoring for any stolen passwords associated with your ClearScore registered email address. We’ll email you if any of your passwords have been found, so that you can change them and secure your accounts.
You’ll also get personalised security tips to help protect your identity.
How do you monitor the deep dark web?
We’ve partnered with Acuris Risk Intelligence and Have I Been Pwned, who trawl the deep dark web for stolen information and record it in a secure database, whilst PIPL searches publicly on social media and other deep web sources for your data. All of the information in this database could potentially be used for fraudulent purposes.
Acuris has a team of ex-police officers who monitor the dark web for stolen information and record it in a secure database, whilst Have I Been Pwnd assess if your email address may have been put at risk due to an online account being compromised through a data breach. ClearScore then scans this secure database and lets you know if we find any information that belongs to you.
Please note that we do not send any of your data to the dark web.
