If you see 'We couldn’t find your report', we haven’t been able to match your details to a credit report from Equifax yet. This doesn’t necessarily mean you have no credit history.
Why might this happen?
- You’re new to credit or the UK, so there may not be enough information available yet.
- Your name, date of birth or address history differs from the information Equifax holds.
- You’ve recently changed your details and the information hasn’t been updated yet.
What can I do?
Select Review under Review your details, or open your personal details through the account icon. Check that your information is accurate and consistent with your financial accounts.
Where editing is available, correct any mistakes. If a detail is incorrect but you can’t change it, contact us through the ClearScore chat.
You can also explore the checklist on your home screen. It includes guidance on registering to vote if eligible, opening a UK bank account, having bills in your name, reporting rent and understanding credit-building products. Choose the actions relevant to your circumstances.
Will ClearScore check again?
We’ll continue checking for a matching credit file and let you know when we find one. You may see 'We’re searching for your report' when you return to ClearScore.
Changes can take time to reach Equifax. Completing checklist actions doesn’t guarantee that a report will become available within a particular time.
What happens when my file is found?
Follow the message in your account. If your identity is already verified, you can view your score and report. Otherwise, you’ll need to complete the verification steps first.
