What is ClearScore Protect?
It’s a free dark web monitoring service we provide to all of our users, so you can protect your identity.
How it works
Every three months, we privately and securely scan the dark web. This helps us monitor any stolen passwords linked with the email you used to sign up to ClearScore. We’ll email you if any of your passwords have been found, so you can change them and secure your accounts.
You’ll also get personalised security tips to help protect your identity.
How we monitor the dark web
We work with Have I Been Pwned, and SpyCloud to monitor the dark web for stolen information and record it in a secure database. If you're a Protect Plus subscriber PIPL also searches publicly on social media and other deep web sources for your data. All of the information in this database could potentially be used for fraudulent purposes.
Have I Been Pwnd check to see if your email address is at risk from any data breaches. A data breach is when secure or private/confidential information is released into an untrusted place. This could compromise any of your online accounts. All of the information found could potentially be used for fraudulent activities. We scan this database and let you know if we’ve found any of your information.
Just a reminder, we don't send any of your data to the dark web.
