When someone signs up for ClearScore, they’re subject to industry standard security processes (similar to other financial institutions, like your bank).
Sometimes, we need to see a copy of your ID and a photograph of you holding the same document, depending on the details you entered during registration.
We ask for this as a security measure on our part to ensure we’re giving you - and only you - access to your credit score and report.
You’ll be prompted to send this during our registration process and your ID will only be used to verify your identity.
This is what we’ll ask you for:
- A photo of your valid UK driving licence, or
- A copy of your passport photo and signature pages
Please make sure all four corners of the document are visible, and your full name and date of birth must be clear to read on your ID.
We’ll then need a photograph of you holding your document as well.
As we’re an online business, unfortunately we’re unable to compare and complete these checks in person, which is why we ask you to photograph yourself holding your ID document.
To save time, please make sure you’ve familiarised yourself with .
Unfortunately, if you're unable to provide a valid ID, we won't be able to create a ClearScore account for you.
