Banks and lenders might share information with 1, 2 or all 3 credit reference agencies (CRAs) in the UK. If they don't share data with Equifax, our partner CRA, the account won't show on your ClearScore report.
New account
When you open an account, it can take up to 8 weeks for it to show on your credit report.
Address change
If you've moved and have a new address, it's important to update you details with all your financial accounts. Allow 5 weeks for banks and lenders to share this with CRAs like Equifax. Update your address on your ClearScore account.
Name change
If you've changed your name, it's similar to address change. It needs to be updated with all your accounts and local council first, then allow 5 weeks. Your old name can be added to 'Other names' section of your credit report. This helps the CRA match your details and show you accounts with both names.
You can delete your ClearScore account to register again with your new name - name and DOB can't be updated.
Update information
Other information updated by providers, council or courts can take up to 5 weeks to show or be removed from you report. This can be related to settled account, payments made and balance changes.
Information like balances might always be out of date if they change all the time. It's best to consult your account for real-time information.
If it's been more than 5 - 8 weeks, check our article on other reasons why information might be missing or incorrect on your report.
