Unfortunately we have been unable to verify your details and identity. We take security extremely seriously and we want to make sure only you have access to your credit report and personal information.
We will be unable to verify this information for one of 3 reasons:
- You have a thin credit file (empty looking financial history)
- You have accidentally entered your details incorrectly (full name, address details etc.)
- You have answered some of your security questions incorrectly
If you have previously had credit cards/mortgages, are registered on the electoral roll and have at least 3 years’ worth of UK address history, you are unlikely to have a thin credit file and there should be more than enough information to be able to pull your credit report and score.
In this case, the most likely reason for the verification issue is that you have either accidentally input your personal details inaccurately or you have answered some of your security questions incorrectly.
If you haven’t previously had credit cards/mortgages, aren’t registered on the electoral roll or don’t have at least 3 years’ worth of UK address history, it may be the case that you have a thin file and don’t have enough credit history to form a credit report.
If you feel you have enough credit history to be able to form a credit report:
Unfortunately you'll need to delete your ClearScore account (via 'My Account'), and register your details again from the homepage (https://clearscore.com/).
Please be aware that you should fill in your details as fully and accurately as possible please. You'll be locked out of the system for 72 hours if you fail this verification process on multiple occasions in a short time, and you will be unable to register again within this time. This is our security measure to prevent anyone other than you accessing your credit report and we’re serious about keeping all of your information safe.
It would be helpful at this point to look through your recent bank statements and current electoral roll information as these will show your full name, D.O.B and address information as recognised by Equifax.
If you feel that you have a thin file and don’t have enough credit history to form a credit report:
In this case, do not worry. You can start to build your credit history today. Take a look at our guide for more information on understanding and getting started with credit.
We’re really sorry for the inconvenience. If any of this is unclear or if you have any other queries, please feel free to let us know via our 'Ask a Question' form and we'll be more than happy to help.
