When you sign up for ClearScore, we'll occasionally ask you for a copy of an Identification Document. This is a security measure on our part to ensure we are giving you, and only you, access to your data.
You'll usually be asked to submit this using our secure 'Submit documentation' form:
Any files you attach on help.clearscore.com are uploaded using HTTPS and are encrypted with SSL/TLS during transit. These files are never held by a third party unencrypted and are only ever stored on ClearScore's servers within the EU.
Your ID will only be used to verify your identity in order to open a ClearScore account.
We may ask you to send us a copy of:
- A valid UK driving licence, OR
- The photo page of your current passport.
Your full name and date of birth must be clearly visible on these documents for us to match your details with a ClearScore account.
Remember to send your ID from the same email address you used to sign up with ClearScore.
If you don't have a scanner, you can take a clear photograph of your ID and send it through that way.
Unfortunately, if you're unable to provide an identification document we won't be able to give you access to your free credit report.
