When you sign up to ClearScore, we'll occasionally ask you for a copy of an Identification Document (ID). This is a security measure on our part to ensure we’re giving you - and only you - access to your free credit score and report.
You'll usually be asked to submit this using our secure form, please select the option: 'Submitting documentation'.
Your ID will only be used to verify your identity in order to create a ClearScore account.
We may ask you to send us a clear photo or colour copy of:
- A valid UK driving licence, OR
- The photo page of your current signed passport.
Your full name and date of birth must be clearly visible on these documents for us to match your details with a ClearScore account.
To save time, please make sure you’ve familiarised yourself with .
Remember to send your ID from the same email address you used to sign up with ClearScore.
If you don't have a scanner, you can take a clear photograph of your ID and send it to us that way.
Unfortunately, if you're unable to provide a valid ID, we won't be able to create a ClearScore account for you.
Further, any files you attach on help.clearscore.com are uploaded using HTTPS and are encrypted with SSL/TLS during transit. These files are never held by a third party unencrypted and are only ever stored on ClearScore's servers within the EU.
